APPOINTMENT GUIDES · BRONX

Prepare for your appointment

A little preparation helps you choose the right service and arrive knowing what to bring. Start with the guide for your appointment, then check the current service choices and booking terms before you confirm.

FIRST-APPOINTMENT CHECKLIST

Four things to check before you book

Use this short checklist to organize your questions, then read the guide for your actual service. If an option or preparation step is unclear, ask the salon before choosing a different appointment.

  1. Choose the work you need

Compare the current braiding, wig and makeup services. Note the exact choice and options you plan to select; a reference photo alone does not reserve a particular service.

  2. Collect the useful details

For braids, note the style, size, length and finish. For a wig, note the unit type and whether you need installation, preparation, styling or care. For makeup, note the occasion and the finish you want. Keep a clear reference if it helps explain the look.

  3. Check what is included

Read the selected service’s preparation requirements and the current booking terms. Review the full estimate and deposit in the booking flow; ask about anything that is not clearly included.

  4. Plan your time and arrival

Have preferred dates ready and tell the salon when you need to be ready for an event. Save your booking confirmation and check the address and contact details before your visit.

BRAIDING GUIDE

Prepare for a braiding appointment

Choose the actual style before making plans around a photo. The braiding service page shows current style groups; booking shows the questions and estimate for the selected option.

  1. Match your reference to a choice

Save a clear photo showing the pattern, length and finish you want to discuss. Compare it with the listed styles. A reference helps explain your idea; it does not confirm that every variation is available. Ask the salon if the match is unclear.

  2. Prepare your natural hair

Arrive with natural hair clean, dry and detangled. Jael’s Beauty does not wash, condition, blow-dry or detangle natural hair. Check the selected service’s hair or extension requirements; clients provide their own hair under the current booking terms.

  3. Review the complete booking

Look at the specific style, its options, the estimate, deposit and current terms before confirming. A photo or another braid style’s price cannot tell you the total for your selection.

  4. Check comfort during and after styling

Tell the stylist promptly if braids feel painful or excessively tight. After your visit, do not ignore a style that continues to pull or irritate your scalp; ask the salon about the style. The American Academy of Dermatology explains that repeated tension can contribute to hair loss. For hair loss or a lasting scalp concern, speak with a dermatologist.

Before you leave home

  • Confirm the style you selected and have a reference ready if requested.
  • Finish natural-hair preparation and check whether you must bring hair.
  • Review the salon’s current address and directions and your booking terms.

WIG GUIDE

Plan your wig service

Start with the unit or hair you have and the work it needs. The wig service page lists the currently available options by category.

  1. Choose the work you need

Installation places a wig of the selected type. Preparation and styling are separate choices. Cleaning and repair address care of the unit. If you cannot identify the right choice, describe your wig to the salon before booking.

  2. Read preparation carefully

Standard Wig Preparation covers knot bleaching, hairline plucking or customization, and lace preparation under the current terms. Check the exact service description and all required styling selections before treating a component price as your total.

  3. Separate wig care from natural-hair care

Light Cleaning removes residual glue from a wig. Full Cleaning washes and dries the wig. Wig cleaning does not include washing natural hair. If your natural hair is involved, arrive with it clean, dry and detangled.

  4. Bring the right hair at the right time

Clients provide their own wig or hair. Check the selected service’s requirements for extensions or advance preparation. There is no single drop-off deadline verified for every wig service. Ask the salon when your specific instructions are unclear.

Before you confirm

  • Match the unit to the exact listed service.
  • Review preparation, styling, estimate and deposit together.
  • Read the current booking terms and confirm any special instructions.

MAKEUP GUIDE

Plan your makeup appointment

The current menu lists Regular Makeup, Full Glam Makeup, Special Occasion Makeup. See the makeup service page for the available choices, then review the estimate and time in booking.

  1. Describe the occasion and finish

Write down the date, the time you need to be ready and the elements of the look you prefer. Bring one or two clear references. A reference explains your idea without promising an exact copy of someone else’s result.

  2. Choose a listed appointment

Select the makeup service closest to your request. Ask the salon about anything the description does not cover. Do not assume travel, a trial, lashes or another unlisted addition is included.

  3. Raise product questions ahead of time

Tell the salon about a product preference or ingredient you know you need to avoid. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration gives general eye-cosmetic safety advice, including keeping tools clean and avoiding shared eye cosmetics. That guidance does not describe a specific salon procedure.

  4. Coordinate hair and makeup

If you also need braiding or a wig service, choose an eligible combination shown in booking and review the full selected-service estimate. Two separate choices do not automatically make a confirmed combined appointment.

Before you confirm

  • Have your reference, event timing and service choice ready.
  • Ask about any essential request the listed service does not explain.
  • Review the current estimate and booking terms.

These guides reflect the salon’s current published service menu and terms. The booking flow supplies the current estimate and available times. The linked dermatology and cosmetic-safety sources provide general education, not individual medical advice or a claim about an unlisted salon service.
